November 2013

I just returned from Acklins after a great week of bonefishing with Joe Linscott of Frontiers Travel. We had a couple of weather days at the beginning of the week but once Joe arrived the weather seemed to magically return to perfect bonefishing conditions. Although we had unusually high tides, each day offered a couple of hours of great fishing on incoming and outgoing tides.

Having moved our location to the Chester’s/Lovely Bay area it was fun to explore creeks and flats I had yet to fish. Our last day was spent on a beautiful ocean side creek that is one of the prettiest spots I have seen in the Bahamas. The day ended with Joe getting a couple shots at a 20+ lb permit, that naturally refused to eat.

Fedel and Erika were wonderful hosts and made our trip one to remember.
